My favorite town

We went to my Mom and Dad's for the 4th of July. Carrington and Clayton always have a blast swimming in Grandma and Grandpa's pool. On the way home we stopped and ate lunch in the cutest town. I would love to move there!

My kids thought it was so cool to be able to walk on a railroad track. We were definitely keeping our eyes and ears open for trains.

The pictures below are from a small reunion we had with some old friends, a couple of weekends ago. We were all in a Sunday School class together before we got married. It was so fun to see everyone! Two of the other couples also homeschool, so it was fun to talk to them.

I took way too many pictures in Nashville! There is so much color and so many things to see. A lot of colorful characters too! We took a trolley tour ride through town. That was a lot of fun.

Our visit to Nashville. #3 and #4 are of us sitting in front of the original Grand Ole Opry. It's now called the Ryman Auditorium. There's a neat story behind that. The man that built the Ryman Auditorium was a wealthy man, Thomas Ryman, who owned a lot of bars and other unreputable businesses in Nashville. There was a big revival going on in town. He was afraid that the revival would hurt his business so he went to the revival to break it up, but found Jesus instead. He had the Ryman Auditorium built for church services and named it the Union Gospel Tabernacle. It later became the Grand Ole Opry where numerous country music legends performed over the years.
