St. Patrick's Day

I decided to make St. Patrick's Day a little more special this year. While the kids were still asleep, I hung green crepe paper, blew up some green balloons, and cut out shamrocks. Carrington and Clayton both got a little green bucket with green wrapped chocolate kisses and a couple of other little trinkets. They were very excited. We also went to a homeschool party at a nearby park. Everyone brought green food. It was fun and the weather was nice. I made green eggs today, Mom, but Carrington and I couldn't eat them. Clayton didn't mind though. My Mom always made every holiday special when we were kids. We had green milk, green eggs, and even green oatmeal. She always packed our lunchboxes with special treats for St. Patrick's Day. I hope my children will have the fun memories of childhood that I have. Thanks Mom!

  1. Wow, I feel like a terrible mother! We didn't do anything but read about St. Patrick (and that was only because I realized at lunch time that today was St.Patrick's Day!) Sounds like you guys had a fun day!

  2. You made me cry. You never know when you raise your kids whether what you are doing is right or wrong. (like Halloween). We did have some fun times though. Love you. Mom
