Last night we decorated a gingerbread village.

Warren doesn't get into this kind of thing, but Carrington asked him to put together one of her houses.  It was the best built house for sure.  :-)

M&M's

~More candy~

My house looks like it went through an earthquake.

Carrington worked very hard on her 2 houses, and was still decorating about half an hour after Clayton and I were done.

It takes a village...........

A Few Thanksgiving Pictures

Carrington and Clayton both had a small pumpkin to paint earlier in the Fall.  Warren pitched the pumpkins to both of them and they smashed them with a bat.  Clayton wanted to paint a target on our big pumpkin and shoot at it, but his pellet gun is broken.  :(

Warren drew this turkey on the tablecloth.  He's a pretty decent artist I think!  I brought fabric markers to my Mom's house and we all wrote what we are thankful for on the tablecloth.  It will be fun to see what everybody wrote years from now.  Marcy traced her 2 littlest boys' hands on it too.

Buds.  :)

Carrington worked hard to win over Myles.  She really loves her littlest cousins.

It was so nice outside on Thanksgiving Day!

Grandpa and some of his heritage.  :)

I Love This Book!!!

I found this book at the Christian book store the other night and I loved it immediately!  It's about some of our Church fathers (and mothers).  The pages are colorful and fun, so it's not boring for kids at all!  I also like the fact that each page is short and simple enough for my 8-year old son to enjoy.   We are learning just a little bit about Martin Luther, John Foxe, Ignatius, Lady Jane Grey (I really like her), and even MONICA.  Ha! Ha!  Monica was the Mother of Augustine.  :-)  I didn't know anything about our Church history until recent years, and I want to know more and teach it to my children!  There have been so many courageous, and devoted men and women in the history of the Christian Church, including many who were beaten and even died for our faith.  This book is great for giving kids a fun sample of some of those amazing people!

Healthy Smoothies

Nice and green!

She was so excited to eat it!  Ha! Ha!

Don't you love the explorer vest and rope around his waist?   :-)

Yum!!!

Our Math lesson today ~ learning about volume.  He had fun with it.  :-)

My sister has inspired me to start making healthy smoothies.  My husband sells commercial kitchen equipment for a living, including Blendtec blenders.  He brought one home for us to try out.  I made a kale, tangerine, and apple smoothie today.  It wasn't exactly delicious, but it was super healthy so we drank/ate it.  Adding ice helps a lot!  I'm going to have to keep experimenting with different fruits and vegetables, but I know it is so nutritious so we will keep gagging, I mean drinking it.  :-D

Fall Pics

My little man!

My  little lady!  We were at a wedding reception.

My husband during a recent road trip.  Stopping for ice cream helped the trip go much better!  :-D

We went to see my parents not too long ago.  We had to try out my Mom's  new scooter!

Of course I had to try it out too!  :-)

Clayton while he and I were skip counting for Math.  He can be quite ACTIVE!

A tree in our front yard.

Our home sweet home.  :-)

I have just loved the fall colors this year.

Some pretty trees in our neighborhood.

I love this one!

Bob Carlisle - We Fall Down

Clayton was beating himself  up about something bad he had done, and I told him that we all make mistakes and have to repent and start over again.  I showed him this video from a while back.  I thought it was sweet.  :-D

My Not-Very-Fallish Fall Pictures

At the park on a beautiful day.

Clayton and Carrington at the park.

Clayton was having a fit to play in this.  :-D

Clayton does not like having his picture taken, but he cooperated pretty well.  :-D

Throwing leaves.

As Carrington and I came back from running errands today, we saw several beautiful trees bursting with Fall color.  So Carrington, Clayton, and I headed to our nearest park to take some pictures and enjoy being outside.  I was so disappointed to see hardly any leaves changing color.  Most of the trees were as green as ever!  We managed to find one tree that was turning yellow, and a couple of trees that had already lost their leaves.  We had fun anyway!
