| The Smithsonian Museum of American History ~ had a lot of wonderful memorabilia in it. The flag that inspired Francis Scott Key, during the War of 1812, to write the Star Spangled Banner was in there. It is kept in a dark, temperature controlled room, under a glass case. It is very thin and threadbare now, but it was a THRILL to see!!! |
